Hypnosis Induction
Methods
Hypnosis induction is the first stage of hypnosis, which is often
misunderstood. The hypnosis induction is the point at which the hypnotist is working to put the person in the
hypnotic state. This is not a dangerous state to be put in. In fact, the state of hypnosis
is usually one that is quite relaxing to the person who is in this state of altered consciousness.
The most common hypnosis induction method is the drop arm method. It sounds strange, but this
method just requires that the hypnotist getting the subject to raise one of their arms so that the hand is
slightly above the head. Once they have done this, the hypnotist will begin giving suggestions to the subject
that are meant to change behavior or improve a condition.
For the arm drop method to work you need to understand that over time when the arm is in the
air it will eventually fatigue and lower.
As the arm lowers, the person will also lower down into a state of altered
consciousness, which is where they will feel very relaxed and they will be more likely to respond to the
hypnotism.
The confusion method is another common method of hypnosis induction. As its name implies this
techniques uses confusion as its main method of relaxing the subject, and the basic message to this induction is
that the conscious is forgetting, and the subconscious knowing. The results can be
fantastic with this type of hypnosis induction, as well.
While many people don’t yet accept it, hypnosis can be helpful for a number of different
reasons. Many
people seek this type of treatment to help stop smoking, lose weight, or any variety of
things. It is
important to choose a hypnotist that you can trust if you want to attempt this type of treatment, as not only
